Active Basic self-adhesive surface protection is a lightly breathable (approx. 50 mg/m²/24h), versatile protection material developed for temporary protection during construction and renovation. It is a soft, strong non-woven fabric that absorbs impacts and protects against mechanical stress. The underside has an anti-slip treatment that grips the protected surface, adding grip and safety. The top is coated with PE film that stops liquids reaching the protected surface. This makes Active Basic well suited for protection during painting as well. 

The most common applications for Active Basic self-adhesive surface protection are floors, worktops, stairs and doors. Active Basic is also well suited for protecting furniture from knocks during removals. Self-adhesive surface protection does not slide off the protected surface as easily as foam or bubble wrap, so much less taping of furniture is needed during transport.

The protector is quick to install, as it is easy to handle and cut to size, and no taping or other extra fixing is needed. It is also easy to remove, and if the adhesive surface has stayed clean, it can be reused.
